5 Car Tips For Fall

Fall is here and that means cooler weather is on its way! With October being Fall Car Care Month and the holidays right around the corner, our team here at C&G Auto & Truck is here to share a few car care tips to help you stay safe on the road this month!

Check Your Tires

When the weather really starts to cool off, it’s important to inspect your tires periodically. Ensure your tires are inflated to the right PSI, make sure your tires have a safe amount of tread (6/32 or deeper), and nothing is lodged in the tire that could cause a leak or a blowout.

Examine Your Dashboard

If you have a light (or more) displaying on your dashboard, now is the time to take care of it. Whether it be replacing a light bulb or testing your battery, our team can help you diagnose your problem and get you back on the road safely.

Check Your Battery

The hot weather here along the Grand Strand can do some damage to your car’s battery. With the cooler weather coming, it’s a good idea to check your car’s battery and look for any signs of corrosion, loose connections, and other hazards that could put you and other drivers at risk.

Check Your Brakes

Whether you hear a squeaking noise when you push your brake pedal or you haven’t had them checked in a while, it’s important to ensure your brakes are in good working condition before the winter weather begins.

Check Your HVAC

While it may seem unnecessary to use your AC during the fall and winter months, it can be vital to use when you need to defrost your windshield or get rid of annoying fog that can build up on your windshield.

These are just a few tips to help you prepare for the upcoming months and changing weather conditions. Our team of automotive technicians here at C&G Auto & Truck is here to help you any way we can! Don’t hesitate to give us a call with any questions you may have, or to schedule an appointment!
