Signs You Need To Rotate Your Tires

There are many things you need to do to keep your car in prime condition. Whether it be a regular oil change, tune-up, or just keeping the right amount of air in your tires, it’s important to do certain things to ensure your vehicle is running smoothly. That includes rotating your tires! When you neglect to rotate your tires, you’re decreasing your safety on the road. That’s why our  team here at C&G Auto & Truck is here to tell you a few signs that you need to rotate your tires.

Uneven Wear & Tear

It’s important to keep an eye on the tread of your tires to ensure they’re all wearing down at the same rate. If you notice the tread on your front tires is lower than your rear tires, then it’s time for your tires to be rotated.

Steering Wheel Vibration/Pulling

Notice your steering wheel starting to shake or pull to one side when it’s aligned straight ahead? This is a sign your tires are wearing down and need to be rotated, aligned, or balanced. Of course, we’re here to help diagnose and resolve the issue.

Low Tire Pressure

Whether you notice one tire with lower pressure or multiple tires, this is a good sign you need to rotate your tires as they could be wearing down unevenly. Sometimes this can be a sign of a puncture which can many times be easily repaired.

A good rule of thumb is to have your tires rotated every 5-8,000 miles (or every time you change your oil). This will ensure your tires are wearing down evenly.
